Trip Interruption Coverage

Definition:

Unable to continue with a trip due to an unforeseen event.

Coverage Explanation:

Provides reimbursement for unused, non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if your trip is interrupted due to a covered event. Also provides reimbursement for the additional transportation cost to return home or rejoin your group.

What are covered events?

Sickness, Injury or death of an Insured, Family Member, Traveling Companion, or Business Partner.

• Sickness, Injury and Death: You become sick or injured, or a non-traveling family member passes away, and you are unable to continue with the trip and must return home early.
• Inclement Weather: Your flight is delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather such as a hurricane or snowstorm.
• Job Loss: Termination must occur through no fault of his or her own more than 14 days after an Insured’s effective date of coverage.
