DAN Boater is pleased to announce that the Medical Services Department has extended its hours to meet the needs of members as peak boating season begins. The DAN Boater Medical Information Line will now operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST, Monday-Friday.
DAN's Medical Services Team fields over 10,000 non-emergency requests every year.

The Medical Information Line provides information and recommendations to members who have travel-related health or medical questions or need assistance but are not in an emergency situation. As the number of potential incidents and requests for information increases with the season, the Medical Information Line will provide an increasingly valuable resource to members. DAN's Medical Services Team answers over 10,000 non-emergency requests for information every year, and have assisted more than 250,000 callers over the 36 year history of the program.

Said Dr. Matias Nochetto, Director of Medical Services and Programs. "This program, and its extended availability during peak boating and diving season, show both the flexibility and the outreach of this organization, and exemplify the work that we do to further the DAN Mission and improve the safety of our members."
The DAN Boater Emergency Hotline remains available 24 hours a day to assist members with emergency situations, care coordination, and evacuation and repatriation assistance. Assistance is available to members and physicians in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
